Summer Day Camp

Summer day camps are offered for children ages 5-13 years and for youth ages 14-17 years.

We are pleased to announce that we received funding from the Federal Government and City of Moncton to expand the Education Centre. The construction began in December 2016 and will be completed in time for the 2017 summer camp season. This expansion includes two new classrooms which will allow 300 more campers to attend summer camp this year.

We are offering French and English programs for all 9 weeks of the summer. The French programs will be offered in the new classrooms for weeks 1 to 5 and the English programs would be offered in the existing classrooms. Then the locations of the French and English programs will switch for weeks 6 to 9. These programs will run simultaneously and independently of each other. The only time we anticipate the campers from each program to mix is when using shared space in the hallways and washrooms.

Programs

The Magnetic Hill Zoo offers week long fun and educational day camp experiences for children ages 5-13 years and include activities such as games, crafts, visiting and feeding the animals, pony rides, and more; as well as a day at the Magic Mountain water park for older campers.

Keeper Camp is a program for youth ages 14-17 years which is designed to teach participants about the world of zookeeping and then experience it through hands on, real life zookeeper work. Up to five campers can register per week!
